I have a TP-Link Archer T9E WiFi card and now in conjunction, AirDrop does work like a charm! Cheers, Dave * EDIT: RehabMan replied to me on GitHub and it's not recommended to use /S/L/E and you should let that folder remain reserved for Apple original kext files. So I tried putting the files (with the correct permissions) back into /Library/Extensions and Bluetooth and AirDrop both still work fine! So I would recommend to put the files either into EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other or - like me - into /Library/Extensions and after (or before) copying the two kext files, set the permissions like shown above for both files with chown and chmod. EDIT2: I totally forgot to mention that even unlock via Apple Watch works!

Csr8510 A10 Bluetooth Software
I had to go to Device Manager and change 'View Settings' to 'Show Hidden Devices' and then go into each hardware item and delete anything related to Bluetooth (I was amazed at all the entries including several 'unknown devices') and my headphones appearing in the system folder. • - I rebooted and left the Bluetooth dongle unplugged. • - (THANK YOU AGAIN!) • - Rebooted the system • - Plugged in the CSR 8510 A10 bluetooth dongle • - Then rebooted (better to be safe, always). • - Right clicked on the newly created bluetooth trayicon and selected 'Enable' and added my headphones. Things are perfect now and the headphones are sync'd like they had been before the Toshiba screw up. I certainly do hope that others with my problem find this post to aid them. I wish I could post this at the 25 or so sites with almost no good information I came across.
I got it to work but disabling and enabling the device. I also uninstalled the drivers whil it was disabled, then ebnabled it and windwos installed the driver just fine. I am unsure what went wrong the first time but this isnt the first time it has ever happened to me or anyone and probably happen again.
So I thought there never was a driver for the PH-BTH3's as my head hones were new off Amazon this last Christmas (and most devices shipped like this generally assume you will update via Windows update). So to resolve my 'newly created issue' I knew I needed to drivers entries and that took so much time. Windows seems to have a hard time releasing devices in general but with Bluetooth it is especially sticky. I had over 16 entries in the registry alone. In many folders within REGEDIT I was stuck having to take ownership of the folders, then I learned some folders are 'placeholders' and cannot be deleted but you need to delete each entry in the folder that it allows (all but the top most entry will be deleted). If you miss just one of the driver references it will fail again on reboot and you will have to continue your search and deleting process.
Now you have to convert the values form hex to integer. After rebooting with flags -f -v, you should now be able to switch bluetooth on or off.

Even with a Linux computer, i could'nt get the dongle to work in HCI mode (Bluetooth mode so - VID 0A12 PID 0001). If you have a computer that is running Windows (7 - 64bits for me) you can modify the ' initial device bootmode'. To change the device bootmode: • Download the BlueSuite to modifiy 'BlueCore Persistent Store': • Unplug your Bluetooth dongle • Install the BlueSuite Software (default options) • Plug your Bluetooth dongle in another port than previously • Run CSR BlueSuite 2.5.0 / PSTool as Administrator • With the first window: Choose Transport = USB then Port =. Csr0 and click OK • In the Filter box, type bootmode then click on the item ' Initial device bootmode' • Note the hex number in case something goes wrong (mine was 0002), then change to 0000 • Click on the Set button then click on the Close button • Wait some seconds then unplug your Bluetooth dongle. Finally, run your OS X with the dongle plugged-in and your Bluetooth dongle will now work out of the box:-) With this modification, your Bluetooth dongle, will always start in HCI mode. Some information about the dual-mode in Bluetooth USB: Hope it will work for you too.

I uninstalled and rebooted and the horror began! My Bluetooth dongle is the CSR 8510 A10 (CSR8510A10). It was now showing the PH-BTH3 headphones as paired (within the CSR 8510 driver settings as well as all bluetooth driver references. I stumbled across a six pin header on my motherboard designed for an internal Bluetooth module that uses USB protocols to communicate, and ended up making the actual cable that allowed me to place the dongle inside the laptop. The dongle is Now.Windows 10 has some neat new features for integrated Bluetooth modules, like from the action center, and special connection menus for audio devices. Despite the fact that I'm using the specified Bluetooth module port, Windows 10 doesn't recognize it as a Bluetooth radio, just as another USB device, and I'm stuck with the installed drivers' annoying menus, and a hole in my action center. I'm using a similar bluetooth dongle, from the same brand ( Orico BTA-403) and Windows 10. In my case I had to do this: 1.

Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver (Code 48).' What is the work-around for this problem? I sure hope I'm not the first to encounter the problem. NOTE: SDK 2.6.0.10 is the latest, according to the wiki page; which I installed before connecting the dongle. I experienced the exact same issue today but I managed to fix it. The reason is that problably your internal bluetooth adapter is still running. This is the problem because Windows does not allow two adapters to run simultaneously.
How does it come that two of my dongles support only Bluetooth 2.1 although all three of them report being CSR8510 A10? Full VID&PID reports follow: • Unbranded CSR (this one was tested to be indeed 4.0 and working as a BLE device): USB VID_0A12&PID_0001&REV_8891, Bus reported device description: CSR8510 A10 • Esperanza Bluetooth 2.1: USB VID_0A12&PID_0001&REV_0134, Bus reported device description: CSR8510 A10 • KWorld Bluetooth 2.1: USB VID_0A12&PID_0001&REV_0134, Bus reported device description: CSR8510 A10. Bluetooth 4 includes features 2.0 and up. It is possible that the 2.1 devices do not support the enhancements from 3.0 and 4.0. 3.0 introduced HS (High Speed) which uses a WiFi-like transport mechanism to achieve speeds above the normal 3Mbps of Bluetooth 2.1.

So I was shocked when the Toshiba driver made a horrible popping in and out of sound but loaded the headphones fine. Sadly my original pairing of the headphones using the Windows update drivers had worked fine since day one. I simply went to 'show all devices' and then selected 'Add Bluetooth Device' and everything just worked! So of course I needed to rollback and get rid of the Toshiba update (which should have been hassle free).
